How to get rid of planaria?
I have a Marineland Eclipse 6 with a heater which is home to my new betta Carter. Today I noticed really little grayish/white worm-like things on the glass of my aquarium. I’m almost certain they are planaria. I would really really appreciate any help I could get! (My tank just recovered from a huge snail epidemic)
Do the worms look anything like the ones in the link below? If so then there really is no need to get rid of them unless you have a lot of them. Bettas will eat them and they are of no harm to fish.
I don’t know if this is right or not but I think they tend to like a lot of poop so if you just got rid of a ton of snails, they may have shown up because of the wastes the snails produced. They will probably gradually disappear as time goes by.
Sorry if that wasn’t of much help. I’m sure someone who has gotten rid of these little guys will post soon.
